20+ Vegan Gluten Free Oil Free Cookies for the Holidays

This time last year, I shared a list of 20 vegan, gluten free and oil free cookies because cookies. Also, holiday season = baking on baking! As you may or may not know, I’ve got a huge sweet tooth, and cookies are probably one of my favourite types of dessert. Which means… the list has only grown and in 2019 we welcomed new cookie recipes to the blog.

I’m bringing you a roundup of 20+ cookie recipes that are all vegan, gluten-free and oil-free* + sweetened with either maple syrup, date syrup or coconut sugar. It’s important in my book to eat dessert during the holidays, and by now you’re probably aware that we fully embrace dessert here on the Veggiekins Blog. Perhaps equally as important, is to eat what makes you feel good, so trust me when I say these cookies will satisfy your sweet tooth minus the stomach ache and sugar crash. Win win.

The majority of these recipes can be made in one bowl with fairly simple ingredients, and take 25-20 minutes maximum to make from start to finish. Many of the cookie bases are similar as well, so you can tackle multiple on the list at once–don’t settle for just one! Click on the photos or titles below to get to each recipe, and enjoy! Don’t forget to tag me in your recreations on Instagram @veggiekins or use the hashtag #veggiekins.

*recipe contains a topping ingredient, like chocolate chips or vegan marshmallows, that contains oil or refined sugar, but can be swapped out or excluded to keep recipe fully oil-free.

The cookie list!

1. Chewy White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies
The classic white choc and macadamia combo, but vegan, and actually really healthy! Use my dupe for a healthy vegan white choc, or your favourite dairy free white chocolate to make this delicious, buttery treat.

Anyone else nostalgic for teddy grahams? Had to re-create my favourite childhood cookie with good for you ingredients—YUM!

5. 3 Ingredient Nutter Butters
Yup! You read that right, only 3 ingredients to make this dupe of your classic nutter butters. Enough said.

6. Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie
I managed to make this classic cookie a little healthier, made vegan, gluten-free, oil free and sweetened with maple syrup. I mean, you can’t not have chocolate chip cookies on the list right?

Buttery, crispy, pecan-studded shortbread-y cookies. Reminiscent of those sandies I used to eat as a kid!

11. Peanut Butter Blossoms
A holiday classic, with homemade vegan hershey kisses. So chewy, so moist and sooo peanut buttery.

12. Hot Chocolate Cookies
Rich chocolately cookies topped with more melty chocolate and toasted vegan mini marshmallows. Enough said.

18. Cookie Dough Bites
Is this really a cookie? It’s up for debate, but you can make these without an oven, and they come together in a pinch. This one’s definitely for the cookie dough lovers.

To share or not to share? Totally up to you because this giant cookie is a single serve! Ever wanted a cookie but live alone/didn’t want to bake a whole batch? Try this.

20. Cinnamon Bun Bites
Another cinnamon roll/bun (do you say bun or roll?) but this one is a raw, no-bake bite. Make them look like mini cinnamon rolls or just turn them into straight bliss balls. Perfect last minute option.

21. Matcha Monstera Cookies
A different way to enjoy matcha. The perfect amount of sweetness paired with the subtle bitterness of matcha–these cookies are not only tasty with a cup of tea, but a treat for the eyes too.

22. Melted Snowman Bark (allergen-free)*
One more “cookie” to bring to the table that is not only vegan and gluten free, but also nut free and soy free, since all of the other recipes above include nuts of some kind!
