Sweet Strawberries & Cream Smoothie Bowl! 

We’re in the thick of strawberry season, so this Strawberries & Cream Smoothie Bowl 🍓  had to happen! I honestly couldn’t decide if it tasted more like strawberry shortcake, or strawberries and cream, so if you make it, let me know. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and lightly tangy strawberries, vanilla bean and rich, non-dairy creaminess. I finished it off with some crunchy buckwheat groats to top, fresh chopped strawberries and a drizzle of tahini.

The recipe takes 15 minutes or less to prep, and all you have to do is pop your ingredients into a blender, let the blender work its magic and then serve. Enjoy with either a spoon, or add a little extra non-dairy milk to make it a sip-able smoothie!

Secrets to success

This Strawberries & Cream Smoothie Bowl is naturally sweetened with fruit, however if desired you can add in a medjool date or two. Sometimes, when not in season, strawberries can be tart, so adjust to taste.

Sweet and creamy goodness in a smoothie! This Strawberries & Cream Smoothie Bowl is vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free.

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup strawberries frozen
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened non-dairy yogurt of choice
  • 1/2 cup light coconut milk or other non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1/2 vanilla bean scraped
  • 1 tbsp cashew butter
  • optional 1-2 medjool dates
  • optional vanilla plant protein powder
  • optional
  • fresh strawberries to top
  • drizzle of tahini cashew butter or non-dairy yogurt
  • buckwheat groats

Instructions 

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, using a tamper to assist as needed. Taste, and if too tart, add medjool dates to sweeten.
  • Serve with a drizzle of cashew butter, non-dairy yogurt, or tahini, fresh strawberries and buckwheat groats.
