Snack on these Healthy Tahini Buffalo Cauliflower Wings!

Recently, I made the best ever healthy vegan buffalo sauce, so naturally I had to make these Healthy Tahini Buffalo Cauliflower Wings. This vegan take on buffalo wings is bursting with flavour and made with whole plant ingredients that nourish you! They’re tender in the center, coated in a gluten free crust and doused with buffalo sauce. Enjoy them as a snack, on top of a salad, or make a big batch and turn it into a meal–I won’t judge 😉

These cauliflower wings are vegan, gluten free, refined sugar free, oil free and nut free. They’re baked, not fried, and are seriously addictive! You’ve been warned.

what’s in these Healthy Tahini Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

  • Cauliflower → Obviously, an essential ingredient here, but you could also experiment with tofu, or another veggie of choice if you really wanted!
  • Gluten free flour → I used a mix of brown rice and quinoa flour, and find that rice flour tends to work best to provide a crispy coating.
  • Plant milk → To mix with our gluten free flour to create a coating. Use your favourite plant milk, just try to avoid using one that contains sweetener or vanilla flavour. Trust me!
  • Spices → We’re adding a little garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika to season our breading.
  • Healthy vegan buffalo sauce → The finishing touch! We’ll dunk our baked cauliflower in this sauce before it goes back into the oven for its final bake.

secrets to success

I highly, highly recommend using a non-stick baking mat for best results. Since we’re baking in the oven, you want to make sure your wings are easy to remove from the baking tray. Alternatively, parchment paper works as well!

These cauli wings are unreal! I was searching high and low for a good vegan/GF recipe and these were perfection! I used chickpea flour and unsweetened almond milk. The cook time was perfect too. I made them with the vegan buffalo sauce recipe linked in the recipe - also a must! I've tried so many recipes over the years for cauli wings and these are by far the tastiest/healthiest/easiest! :)

  2. Citlalic Zuniga says:
So I have seen/tried many cauliflower "wings" recipes that are super complicated and require a lot of time. This is by far the SIMPLEST recipe I have tried! Thanks for this! ...who knew you could eat a whole cauliflower head in one sitting. *guilty*

  3. Trisha says:

  4. Annina says:
These are absolutely gorgeous! It's my fourth time now coming back to this recipe, so I thought I better leave a comment this time..! I dip these into a diy vegan ranch dip and I am in heaven. Thanks for the brilliant recipe 😍

  5. Amanda says:
Just made these for dinner last night and they exceeded my expectations! I was a bit hesitant about the tahini but it worked so well with the buffalo sauce. I'll definitely be making them again :)
