Vegan Miso Compound Butter (Whipped + Solid)
This umami-packed vegan miso compound butter is super simple to make with just two ingredients and adds rich flavor to anything it touches.

- 8 tbsp unsalted vegan butter
- 4 tbsp white shiro miso or red miso
- optional
- parsley
- minced garlic
- touch of shoyu to taste
Whip together softened butter and miso paste until smooth and nicely incorporated. if adding any additional ingredients, add while mixing (e.g. garlic, parsley).
To store, simply transfer to an airtight container, roll into a log shape using parchment paper and refrigerate, or melt and pour into an ice cube tray to create butter squares.
